FISHING REPORT
9/11/14 7:58 PM CST
Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 41° - 45° F Water Temp: 56° - 60° F
Anyone wondering what it was like fishing on the flowage today? Darn cold! to put it mildly. I left the house in the morning temp was 39 got home 42, brisk north wind all day. The water temp on tue. was 65 today 60, with the wind, that temp would be reflective of the water column not just the surface temp your gizmo is reading. If you want to know the water temp, the site Tom 502 mentioned is the temp that would be most representative of what the fish are feeling. The fishing? My guests and I fished 5 hours , kept 3 walleyes and 6 nice crappies we released some small walleyes, pretty slow, minnows 14-24'.Jeff and Russ were actually pretty happy to come up with tonights fish fry, they had been having some slow fishing. My last two groups were staying at Cry of The Loon Resort in the Lake Bastine area of the flowage and were very happy with their accommodations. Have a busy schedule coming up but do have this weekend open if anyone is interested. According to the forecast I predict the fish will be biting Saturday.
