FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 71° - 75° F Water Temp: 71° - 75° F
Past due fishing report: I have had some customers who just wanted to catch fish of any species, it has been hard to pass up the panfish action going on right now. We have been catching mixed bags of crappies, perch and bluegills with gills being the most prevalent. Today we did best on deep natural log structure in 16' we also caught fish on cribs in 12'. We have been catching them on crawlers both casting jigs and on slip bobbers. The crappies have been doing better on fatheads and the gills on half crawlers, 1/3's if big crawlers. Walleyes have been coming out of this structure as well but not numbers. The fall bite for walleyes is slow in developing with the yet warm water. I tried one fall spot we caught a small walleye and one decent keeper. We did have our second biggest walleye of the year today, Todd caught a 24-1/2" walleye, his biggest and released it. Some people say walleyes don't fight hard, the fish took out drag and was long in coming to the net, was starting to think another musky had a gill then netted the walleye. Did have a couple guys who after catching other species wanted to try for pike.I gave them the low down on pike in the flowage ( not a destination place for big pike, though getting better) went into a shallow bay, they threw stick baits, we landed a few had a few other misses, it is fun, lot of fish to go after on the TFF. The shallow bays are now real shallow, had to get the paddle out a couple times to push us off of stumps have to expect that if you're going to fish 2-3' of water.
Leaves are starting to get some hints of yellow, today it really felt like fall was in the air, looking forward to some great fishing and most beautiful time of the year.
