Flowage travel report: There are random patches of slush and snow drifts. Snowmobiles good travelling, keep it moving when you hit slush. I think 4 wheel drives with good tires and enough clearance would do fine. 4-wheelers I think they will have a real struggle in the slush, Utv's with higher clearance should do ok. The best mode of transportation for northern Wisconsin ice fishing are snowmobiles. Last year early in the season 4 wheelers were done, I know mine spent a night stuck in the slush, and that was with 4 chains on. If you can justify the purchase you can find low mileage, late 90's/ early 2000's for around 1,500.00. I like two-ups with a longer track and the ability to have two riders. Fishing report got out yesterday late in the day with a friend, had 6 tip-ups out. Four in 12-18', one on the shore in 2-1/2' and one on a 5' rock hump. We caught 3 keepers (walleyes) all 3 on the shallow lines. Golden shiners close to bottom. One fish at sunset, two an hour after dark.
