.....Now for the good fishing... Sunday I had my start time wrong was at the landing at 8 for a 9 start. I called Neal and Mike told them to walk onto the dock I would start fishing within view of the dock. First spot threw out the buoy(not the pink one)and anchored first cast nice keeper walleye, released, left the buoy pulled the anchors. Met customers we kept 4 walleyes and a perch for lunch released the other fish they didn't want to take any home. I used my clicker to count the walleyes, no big fish but a lot of solid 13-14" fish. Mostly river boulders in 16-24" Monday had fisherman John, Glenn and Tom. They took a break from grouse hunting to fish. Glen didn't have a lot of jigging experience so after getting out the rods and baiting them, we all cast out our jigs. , I was demonstrating technique to Greg after pulling the jig about 15' I felt a walleye bite, lowered the rod waited 5 seconds took up the slack, lightly lifted the rod, felt the weight of the fish and set the hook into the first of many walleyes that morning. At noon we went to let John's dog out then headed to a different part of the flowage. After shore lunch we got into some really nice walleyes a high % were over 14" a lot of 16-18" fish with the biggest a beautiful gold colored 21-1/2". Anyone who spends a lot of time on the TFF knows we had an exceptional day to get into both numbers and big fish. We fished some good water in the afternoon but were just lucky to find the big fish(we didn't keep any bigger then 17, mostly 13-15).It was one of my best days of guiding. Some of what we fished were deep boulders. Yesterday my group included two teens Isiah and Shane, more of the same we caught a lot of fish, smaller fish however then the day before. We kept 11 walleyes a couple crappies and perch and the rest of our 15 fish limit after lunch. With the strong winds I put out two bobber poles to add to the action and make it more fun for the kids. I counted the fish the last three days was going to post the number and changed my mind. I will tell you the fall bite is on!
