FISHING REPORT
8/23/14 7:49 AM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 71° - 75° F Water Temp: 71° - 75° F
Been a long time since my last post, have fished every day, lot of shore lunches, been good busy. A couple evenings I started a post and woke up around midnight with the computer in my lap. Fishing has been good, still fishing a lot of deep wood 12-16' getting some fish on deep rocks and a few days with bigger walleyes on 9-11' with wood and rock structure these fish came on days with a chop and good cloud cover. Been taking all three baits: leeches, crawlers and minnows still doing the best on crawlers. There have been days where the walleyes have been in a very negative mood for part of the day, they seldom go all day however without turning on, you have to be where the fish are when they decide to bite, times when you see them on the TV but they won't take the bait. This time of year you are competing with a lot of natural bait. There haven't been any days where there hasn't been a bunch of fish swimming in the live well at the end of the day, sometimes the mix has consisted of some nice bluegills and crappies and not as many walleyes as I would like but we are catching a lot of fish, most days 6-8 doz. crawlers.

Gotta go fishing! would like to tell about a few trips in a follow up post, been having a lot of fun.
