Thank you for past favorable comments, I've met a lot of nice people through Lake Link. I just reread the article I wrote in Badger Sportsman, July / August edition, thanks for mentioning it, it is as authentic as I could write in regard to fishing the tff within the confinement of a magazine article. It is a great Wisconsin magazine run and owned by some nice people. I wrote one for them on smb fishing on the tff and my favorite a few years back on tracking deer. Comment on perch, with the exception of the 2 days with kids I haven't gone out of my way for panfish but we have caught some nice ones while walleye fishing. There seems to be a lot of perch and quite a few over 10". Had a relaxing day today with solo fisherman, with dark skies and periodic rain we fished water in the 3-7' range mainly wood and weeds. We found the walleyes in a pretty good mood,( not as good as yesterday) kept 5 in the 14-15" range, were looking for our last fish in the 16-18'' but our late day bite really died, wound up keeping 5 we caught a total of 13 most released were in the 12-14" range, did have some big perch and bluegills again. We mainly fished 4 bobbers a dead stick and In most cover I have to cast a jig, I have a hard time not doing something. When in good cover under the boat, this time of year you will get some really nice smb on a dead stick with a leech, that bite has really come on the last week. I have this Sunday open ,was thinking I may be getting grumpy and might have to take a day off ,but feel pretty rejuvenated if anyone wants to fish this Sunday. Picture with perch and bluegills has an 8' long sharpening stone in the center.
