There were a lot of people fishing the Turtle Flambeau Flowage  for the opener. The 20 * temp drop from the day before and the north wind had the  walleyes a little slow. Myself and 2 customers  fished 11 spots ranging from deep rocks to shallow wood 3'-20'.  We did catch fish throughout the day , in the morning we found fish in 10-13' in stumps near deeper water. We had action on both jigs and slip bobbers. Our best fishing was near the end of the day, we cast slow fall jigs and fatheads over a very snaggy wood covered bottom in 3-5'. We caught 22 walleyes, kept a limit of 9 between 14-16".
Sunday I was in the company of a crew of three (our third or 4th opening Sunday together). The fish were in a better mood, we caught  more fish than the previous day  in various depths, like Saturday, the first half of the day 10-13' wood  was good, mid day caught fish in deeper water with hard bottom 16-21', finished in shallow wood 3-5' where we caught bigger fish. We didn't do any bobber fishing just worked the spots casting the weedless jigs and fatheads.
Spent a couple days fishing with husband and wife, Sue fairly new to fishing caught the most fish both days. They drew the slowest day we had so far which was yesterday, we did have fish in the live well at days end that came out of 7-8' good combination of wood and rock bottom with a little current.
Today after the second day of colder weather and SE wind, the fish apparently adjusted and we found a pretty good bite with a little bigger average size. Our best fish came out of boulders in 3-4'.
We have been catching a few smallmouth, pike, perch and an occasional crappie in with the walleyes.
