FISHING REPORT
6/18/15 7:08 AM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 71° - 75° F Water Temp: 66° - 70° F
I've fished the TFF everyday since last report, busiest time of year, lot of two trip days 12-14 hrs on the water plus prep time at home, struggled to get this last report out. I have received a lot of e-mails with ques. will try to briefly answer in this report.
Bluegills: 9 or 10 days ago they were on shallow shorelines sometimes sand bottom on beds, 1/16 oz. jig, piece of crawler. Don't know if still there, haven't fished for them since. Did catch one on a jitter bug bass fishing yesterday, crazy!.
Smallmouth: still catching them on shallow rocks top waters, cranks, tube jigs and wacky worms, lizards. Not the numbers like a week or two ago, I think some are moving deeper
Pike: shallow bays with weeds. Spinner baits, mepps spinners, yesterday a little action on buzz baits.
Walleyes: We have caught them on all of the named structure since last report ( sound like a lot with no pattern but that's the way it is) shallow weeds, shallow wood, deep wood, river channel edges, cribs, some of the best structure is deep wood with a mix of rocks, hard ball to basket ball size. Crawlers and leeches doing good now all though part of the day we walleye fished yesterday we did better on minnows.
We have had some nice catches of perch while walleye fishing when we get into those we shorten up the crawler.
Been walleye fishing with bobbers and casting jigs.
Will finish report with a few more questions yet to answer tonight.
Gotta go fishing.
Thanks to all the people who chose my guide service.
