FISHING REPORT
5/26/15 11:34 PM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 61° - 65° F Water Temp: 61° - 65° F
The walleye fishing has been good, most days catching a lot of fish, there are a lot of small walleyes out there, occasionally getting a big fish, releasing most of those. Where the fish are coming from is not typical of what I am normally fishing at this time of year. We have started quite a few days in 6-8' tried a few choice spots with few or no fish and have gone on to find the walleyes deeper. We have caught fish on deeper rocks and wood structure often down to 18'. We have had some nicer fish in 10-12' on rock/ wood bottom and in 12' on the edge of some shallow humps. Still fishing with extra large fatheads both casting 1/8 oz. jigs and fishing with bobbers.
Some great smallmouth fishing going on right now, next week should be prime, I have a couple days open next week.
