nihsif Thanks for the advice, I hope to learn some basic computer skills this winter. Ricky Basser and everyone else Thanks for the info. I think the issue on lmb is a healthy discussion. Jigmaster I think that is a good point, competition for existing bio mass would probably hold true for sm/walleye also although I know sm and perch consume a lot of crayfish. There are basically three areas walleyes relate to during the spawn. The Flambeau river, the falls below the Turtle river and the rest of the TFF, along shorelines and rock/gravel bars. The population that relates to the Flambeau river on the east end is significant. My question is, do most of the walleye fry flush down the river into the main body of the flowage or do they hang up in the shallow weeds for a significant time where there is apparently a growing population of lmb. I did read the study it was pretty brief I don't see any reason why the lmb wouldn't eat young walleye if they're in the weeds. For me the bottom line is trying to determine whether or not to keep any legal lmb caught. There are a lot of good lm lakes in the area the TFF is a premier walleye fishery.
